Azerbaijan’s imports totaled $9.68 billion from January through November 2020, which is 21.7 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing a report of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

The share of the public sector in imports over the reporting period amounted to $1.63 billion, making up nearly 16.9 percent of the total import. The private sector’s share amounted to nearly $7.14 billion, or 73.71 percent of the total.

The share of individuals accounted for the remaining $910.6 million or 9.4 percent.

Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations with 183 partner countries.

Most of the products imported by Azerbaijan during the reporting period had been machinery, power tools, equipment, and its spare parts, road vehicles, except railway and tram, as well as their parts and accessories, ferrous metals, and their products.
