Export of dairy products to Turkmenistan from EAEU grows

Turkmenistan increased the import of condensed and powdered milk and cream by 2.4 times from the countries of the European Economic Union (EAEU) from January through October of this year compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission.

In the reporting period, Turkmenistan imported more than 540.3 tons of condensed and powdered milk and cream from Belarus and Russia for a total of $1.1 million, which is also more than in the same period last year in 3 times.

According to statistics, the share of Belarus in the amount of exports amounted to more than $973,500, while Russia’s share to over $166,429.

Also during this period, Turkmenistan imported more than 439 tons of cheese and cottage cheese for a total of $1.2 million, which is also more than in the 10 months of last year by 15.6 percent.

Thus, the exporting countries of cheese and yogurt in this period were Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. At the same time, the share of Belarus in the amount of exports was $554,115, Kazakhstan-$10,610, and Russia's – $614,243.

In addition, statistics indicate an increase in the export of milk and non-condensed cream from the EAEU to Turkmenistan in the amount of 308.62 tones, for $180,591. The volume of exports increased by 5.4 times, and the amount by 4.1 times.
