Azerbaijan increases direct investments in Kyrgyzstan

Investments from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan (wholesale and retail trade) increased 1.8 times from January through September 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the data, the volume of direct foreign investments from Azerbaijan amounted to $1.4 million.

The volume of foreign investment inflow (excluding outflow) to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period increased by 5.2 percent over the year and totaled over $4.95 billion.

In the first 9 months of 2020, the volume of foreign direct investment inflows (wholesale and retail trade) from the CIS countries to Kyrgyzstan decreased 1.4 times due to their reduction from Russia by 2.5 times and Uzbekistan - by 1.8 times compared to the same period of 2019.
