Iran's government looks to see eye to eye with parliament on budget bill

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan.13

Trend:

Iran's government and the parliament are trying to reach common grounds on the new Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) budget plan, said Iran's President Hassan Rouhani, Trend reports via IRNA.

"A discussion was held between the parliament speaker and the head of the judiciary system on the budget bill issue," said the president.

"Our effort is to have the opinions of the parliament and the government come closer on the issue," he said, following his meeting with the parliament speaker and the head of the judiciary.

"It has been decided that the government and the parliament's integration commission would hold more meetings to approve a budget that is in favor of the people that favors economic growth," he said.

"All of our efforts aim to cut the budget's reliance on oil export. We hope the costs in the new budget could come from other resources," he said.
