A total of 3.97 million tons of goods were transported through the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran) during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through January 20, 2021), Director of the Road and Transport Department of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Mohammad Yasin Ahmadian said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
Ahmadian emphasized that 3.31 million tons of goods were transported within the province over the reporting period.
The director added that 69 companies transported goods in the province and the goods were transported within 246,000 trips.
“The main transported goods were construction materials, chemicals and agricultural products,” he said.
Ahmadian noted that currently, 8,920 drivers, 6,500 trucks and 3 cargo terminals are operating in the province.
