Uzbekistan’s CCI plans to attract Arab investors to intensify business co-op

The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCI) stressed the need to intensify business cooperation, including by attracting Arab investors to implement promising investment projects in the country, Trend reports referring to the press service of CCI.

The CCI and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Gulf Cooperation Council signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. According to the CCI, members of the Gulf Cooperation Council are Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

It is reported that the negotiations, which were devoted to the establishment of cooperation between the leading business associations of the parties, were attended by the chairmen of the CCI of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov and the CCI of Bahrain and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Cooperation Council of the Gulf Countries Samir Abdulla Nass and other representatives of these structures.

Adkham Ikramov said that the countries of the region play an important role in the global and regional economy, and the reforms taking place in them contribute to the rapid development of national industrial sectors.

In turn, Sameer Abdulla Nass assured that the development of partnership with Uzbekistan will contribute to deepening trade and economic ties between Arab countries and Central Asian states.

He also stressed that in the context of the globalization of international trade and the intensification of international economic relations, the pace of development of the economy of Uzbekistan is of great interest to businessmen of the Arab states, and leading companies express their readiness to invest in promising projects in Uzbekistan.

According to the information, it was offered to organize a series of visits of representatives of the business community of Arab countries to Uzbekistan, to attract delegations of business circles to participate in international exhibitions and fairs.
