The Ashgabat enterprise of artistic carpet making manufactured 120 square meters of carpets and carpet products in January, Trend reports with reference to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" electronic newspaper.
On twenty vertical machines, the enterprises produce floor carpets with an area of 2.5 to 5 square meters, on ten machine-art panels, carpet portraits, and landscapes. Another seven machines are designed for the production of souvenir carpet products.
As reported, earlier the opening of the enterprise of artistic carpet making took place in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat. The total area of the carpet enterprise is 5,000 square meters. The complex includes a production building, warehouses for raw materials and finished products, a number of objects of engineering and technical infrastructure, and life support of production.
Turkmen’s carpet is approved as one of the national symbols and declared a state property of the country.
Turkmenhaly state association is the main supplier of renowned Turkmen handmade pure-wool fleecy carpets from Turkmenistan to the world market.
The main activities of the association are the production and sales of Turkmen carpets and carpet products, conservation of hand carpet-making tradition, and regeneration of old carpet ornaments and products.
