The total retail turnover of textiles, clothes and shoes in Azerbaijan in January 2021 amounted to 495.2 million manat ($291.3 million), Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, this figure grew by 10.4 percent compared to the same month of 2020.
In January of this year, 15.7 percent of the funds spent by the population fell on textiles, clothes and shoes.
The average monthly retail trade turnover per capita amounted to 316.3 manat ($186.05) in January 2021. The volume of industrial production in Azerbaijan in January 2021 amounted to 3.6 billion manat ($2.1 billion), up by 3.4 percent less than in January 2020.
The cost of products sold in retail chains in January 2021 in Azerbaijan amounted to 3.2 billion manat ($1.9 billion), which is by 1.4 percent less compared to January 2020.
