By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
Certified Georgian wine of Papari Valley company "Organic Winery & Vineyard" is currently exported to Japan, the US, and 7 countries of western Europe, Trend reports via Georgian media.
"There are several companies in the world, each of which produces the amount of wine than Georgia as a whole. This clearly shows that quantitatively we can never beat them. However, if we focus on quality, we will be able to establish ourselves in a suitable place and the demand for Georgian wine will be increased", noted the founder of Papari Valley, Nukri Kurdadze.
The yield of the biodynamic vineyard is 2-3 times less than usual, therefore, the price of the wine is much higher.
The wines of Papari Valley are sold on the international market for $35-40.
"The pandemic slowed down the pace of exports, however, we still depend on it. We all see the local reality and crisis. It is not difficult to export a qualified and certified product, sometimes they contact us, and express interest as distributors, to export our Qvevri biodynamic wines. In general, good wine will always find its way", declares Kurdadze.
