French D.A.E. to set up goat cheese production in Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 22

French D.A.E. company is planning to establish production of cheeses from goat milk in Kazakhstan’s Almaty region, Trend reports citing the Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The initial investment in the production launch will amount to 1 million euros. Aigul Sainova, General Director of the Kairos Advice international investment and consulting company, will also participate in financing the project.

Currently there are plans to import pedigree cattle from France to Kazakhstan, as well as use French technologies and knowledge to develop the production.

The project fits into the priority areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and France, which includes agriculture. The goat's milk cheeses have significant export potential, including through access to the markets of the EAEU, China and Central Asian countries.

In the near future, the representatives of D.A.E. company are expected go to Kazakhstan to complete negotiations with Kazakh partners in order to produce the first batch of goat cheese before the end of 2021.
