Azerbaijan’s Azeraluminium LLC, one of the largest export-oriented enterprises in the country, produced about 53,000 tons of primary aluminum in 2020, while its design annual capacity is 50,000 tons, a source in the company told Trend on Mar.2.
According to the source, the main end products of the company are aluminum ingots, rolls of hot and cold rolled products, which can be sold in the form of rolls, sheets or strips of various sizes at the request of the client.
"Moreover, the company also produces aluminum spacers, which are used in construction sector," the source said.
In 2020, the company reportedly produced 28,560 tons of aluminum ingots, 10,322 tons of hot rolled coils, 13,487 tons of cold rolled coils and 100 tons of aluminum window spacers, added the source.
Azeraluminium LLC is a leading company in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy in Azerbaijan and the only primary aluminum producer in the South Caucasus. The Ganja Aluminum Complex foundation was laid by the country’s President Ilham Aliyev in March 2008.
The complex started Phase I of its primary aluminum production with an annual output capacity of 50,000 tons in 2011-2012. Testing process of the output roll products started in May 2013. The complex inauguration has taken place on January 21, 2014 in the presence of the President Ilham Aliyev.
