The biggest share of Azerbaijan's export accounted for fruits and vegetables, which amounted to $37 million from January through February 2021, Trend reports on March 3 citing the "Export Review" of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
Fruits and vegetables are followed by cotton fiber ($14.3 million), aluminum and aluminum products ($13.8 million), chemical products ($3 million), ferrous metals and ferrous products ($ 7.8 million), cotton yarn ($3.2 million), alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ($1 million), sugar ($1.5 million), vegetable and animal fats and oils ($1.7 million), tea ($760,000).
The persimmons are in the first place ($16.7 million), cotton solvent – are in the second place ($14.3 million) and peeled hazelnuts are in the third place ($10.2 million) in the list of non-oil products exported from January through February 2021.
The export of the non-oil products in January 2021 increased compared to January 2020 by $5.2 million or 3.7 percent.
The non-oil products worth $52.7 million were exported to Turkey, non-oil products worth $42.8 million to Russia, non-oil products worth $10 million to Switzerland, non-oil products worth $6.4 million to Georgia, and non-oil products worth $4.3 million to China in January 2021.
Azerbaijan's export of non-oil products amounted to $1.9 billion in 2020. The export of the non-oil products decreased by 5.9 percent or $102 million compared to 2019.
