The value of exports from Azerbaijan to Switzerland totaled $140,000 in January 2021, showing an increase of almost two times compared to January 2020, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
In the reporting month, Azerbaijan imported Swiss products worth $1.93 million, and Switzerland's share in Azerbaijan’s total imports decreased by 1 percentage point over the year, amounting to 0.25 percent of the total, the SCC report said.
As reported, the volume of foreign trade operations between the two countries in 2020 approached $2.07 million, while the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Switzerland for the reporting year turned out to be negative, amounting to $1.79 million.
Last year, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover settled at over $24.4 billion. Of these, more than $13.7 billion, or 56.15 percent, accounted for exports, and the remaining $10.7 billion, or 43.85 percent – for imports.
