Iran's Economic Council approves several plans

The Iranian Economic Council approved a proposal by the Iranian Petroleum Ministry to invest $411 million on the development of the Iran-Iraq joint Yaran oil field yesterday on March 8, Trend reports citing the Iranian government’s website.

According to the report, at the same time, a plan was approved for development of the Parsi and Paranj oil fields, and increase production coefficients from the fields.

“In addition, several decisions were made to build Abadan and Mahshahr oil terminals at the expense of domestic funds, as well as to maintain and increase the production of Abadan Oil Refining Company,” the report said.

According to another decision of the Iranian Economic Council, Iran Grid Management Company will establish a national dispatch and support center at the expense of domestic funds, and Iran's Thermal Power Plants Holding Company will issue Islamic financial bonds in order to the construction of combined cycle power plants, the report said.

“Furthermore, the Economic Council has accepted a proposal by the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development worth 3 trillion rials (about $71.4 million) for creation of infrastructures on 240 hectares of land in the free trade zone of Iran's Imam Khomeini International Airport,” the report said.
