Farmers in Iran's Qazvin Province provided with agricultural machinery

As many as 682 units of various agricultural pieces of machinery were put into operation of farmers in the Qazvin Province (western Iran) at the expense of issued loans in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), Director of the Agricultural Department of Qazvin Province Fatemeh Khamseh said, Trend reports citing the department’s website.

Khamseh said that of these, 497 units were tractors, 15 units were combines and 170 units were other agricultural pieces of machinery.

The official added that about 600 billion rials (about $14.2 million) worth of loans were estimated to be issued for the purchase of agricultural machinery in the Qazvin Province last year. However, as a result of the efforts of a number of agricultural agencies in the province, a total of 655 billion rials (about $15.6 million) worth of loans have been issued.

“In addition, according to the government's decision, 23 tractors worth 39.2 billion rials (about $934,000) were purchased from the Iranian Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company and put into operation in the province,” she said.

Reportedly, more than 4 million tons of agricultural products are produced in Iran's Qazvin Province per year.
