Kazakhstan decreases manufacturing of some electrical goods

Some 5,931 electrical transformers were manufactured in Kazakhstan over the period from January through February 2021, which is 7.7 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistical Committee.

Furthermore, the number of transformers manufactured in February alone stood at 4,158 units, which is 16.2 percent more year-on-year.

The manufacturing of high-voltage equipment amounted to 1,285 pieces over two months of 2021, which is 2.7 percent less than in the same period of 2020. February’s manufacturing was 656 pieces, which is 6.7 percent less than during the same month of 2020.

The manufacturing of electric lead-acid batteries for engines was 573,497 pieces from Jan. through Feb. 2021, which is 2.1 times more than during the same period of 2020. Manufacturing volume was 294,346 in February alone, which is 2.7 times more than during the same period of last year.

Furthermore, some 300.2 million tenge ($716,600) worth of fiber-optic cables were manufactured during the reporting period of 2021, which is 2.2 times more than during the same period of 2020. Some 207.3 million tenge ($492,180) worth of cables were manufactured during February 2021, which also is 2.2 times more than during the same month of 2020.

Some 1,199 electric capacitors were also manufactured over two months of 2021, which is 11.3 percent less than during the same period of 2020. Capacitors manufacturing stood at 670 pieces in February, which is 7.3 percent less than during the same period last year.
