Iran has good trade ties with the Eurasian Economic Union and more measures should be implemented to expand it, said the Iranian President.
"Iran could use Eurasian countries to import genera food items and livestock inputs. The Ministry of Industries, Mine and Trade are responsible to increase the use capacities of Eurasia," said Hassan Rouhani, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Iran's relation with neighbors via border markets should have better conditions. Border markets could become more active and supply necessary commodities. Officials should inform the government about import and export problems and it should be resolved in the cabinet," he added.
"The government would not delay providing necessary commodities. Governors should also make more effort to have a relation with neighbors especially provinces located at the border. There is no issue in commodity production and supply but there is a problem in distribution and monitoring," the president noted.
Rouhani went on to say that the report of the Market Regulation Headquarters shows abundant commodities have been stored at customs, the Central Bank of Iran would hopefully cooperate for the immediate release of the commodities.
