BAKU, Azerbaijan, Apr. 5

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Georgian Tbilisi City Hall will open a tender to purchase 300 new minibusses for the capital city at the end of April, Trend reports via Georgian media.

As reported, the City Hall has a plan to replace the current outdated fleet of yellow minibusses in Tbilisi with new Ford minibusses by the end of 2021.

A total of 36 million lari (about $7.57 million) will be spent on new public transport from the state budget.

Tbilisi City Hall has already purchased 300 Ford minibusses. They have already started serving passengers since February 22.

Starting April 1, a new integrated public transport system has been launched in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi, which enables passengers to travel by metro, buses, and new blue minibusses for an hour and a half with a one-time ticket.
