Georgian Adjara Group to raise funding from DFC for hotel construction

Georgian Adjara Group will spend $13.5 million to make a modern hotel from Historic Sanatorium Arazindo in Abastumani town, Trend reports via Georgian media.

The company is also cooperating with Wings and Freeman Capital company to raise funding from the United States International Finance Corporation (DFC) to develop the hotel.

According to the group, in cooperation with USAID's Economic Security Program, Adjara Group Holding will train Abastumani Hotel staff in accordance with international standards in order to strengthen human capital.

Hotel Abastumani is scheduled to receive guests from winter, 2022. The project will allow for opening some 150 jobs and high-paying employment opportunities for locals, which will contribute to the development of the regional economy. A 76-room hotel will be located in the unique climatic zone of Abastumani.

The project will create facilities and programs aimed at healthcare. The highest quality services and infrastructure in line with international trends will contribute to the development of a healthy lifestyle for both local and foreign tourists.
