Kazakh private sector interested in Georgia's tourism, energy industries - Honorary Consul

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 3

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Kazakh’s private sector is also interested in Georgia's tourism, energy, financial, and real estate industries, Giorgi Jakhutashvili, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Georgia, told Trend.

"For Kazakhstan, Georgia is a very important and interesting country in the light of international trade, since it has a logistically good location and free trade agreements with major markets, such as the European Union and China," he said.

As you know, Kazakhstan has the opportunity to enter the European markets through the alternative transit corridor, the so-called middle corridor, which is important from economic and geopolitical perspectives, Jakhutashvili noted.

"It connects Asia and Europe and has the significant potential to save shipping time and costs," he added.

According to Jakhutashvili, the mobilization of various raw materials in the Caucasus region itself pushes the growth of the processing sector.

Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Kazakhstan were established on 24 July 1992.
