Entrepreneurs from the UK and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas and urea of the "B" brand following the results of the last week, during the trading on the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
In addition, businessmen from Russia, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan bought dyed terry products and cotton yarn on the exchange in foreign currency.
During the specified period, the total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $22.3 million.
In addition, last week, transactions were made on the exchange in Turkmen manat. Thus, entrepreneurs from Turkey and the UAE purchased cotton yarn for a total of more than 17.4 million manat ($4.9 million).
Local businessmen bought polypropylene produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, float glass, hand-made carpets for more than 55.31 million Turkmen manat ($15.8 million).
In total, 46 transactions were registered on the exchange last week.
The State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. The most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
