Azerbaijan exported plastics and plastic products worth $90.2 million from January through March 2021, which exceeds the figure for the same period of last year by almost twofold, Trend reports with reference to the statistics report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the State Customs Committee, the share of plastics and plastic products in the total structure of the Azerbaijani export amounted to 2.8 percent.
Azerbaijan imported these products worth $76.95 million from January through March 2021 (the share in the total import structure was 3.04 percent).
The import of plastics and plastic products decreased by 12 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to about $ 6.7 billion from January through March 2021, which is by 2.6 percent less than in the same period of last year.
Some $4.1 billion in the structure of foreign trade turnover accounted for export, decreasing by 1.6 percent on an annualized basis.
The share of export for the year decreased by 0.53 percent up to 61.47 percent of the total volume.
