The opportunities of functioning of the PayPal international electronic payment system in Azerbaijan will be expanded, Head of the Azexport portal Aykhan Gadashov said, Trend reports.
Gadashov made the remark during the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Azerpost LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, and the Azexport portal.
According to the head of the portal, currently, PayPal is functioning in the country partly.
"For its full-fledged functioning, it is necessary to carry out certain work, especially to amend some legislative acts, and, naturally, the role of Azerpost is also important in this," Gadashov said.
The portal between Azexport and Azexport LLC signed a memorandum of understanding in order to increase the export of non-oil products in the B2B, B2C and C2C segments in Azerbaijan, stimulate non-cash payments and e-commerce between entrepreneurs and startups.
