The exports from the Markazi Province (central Iran) increased by 56 percent in terms of value and 193 percent in terms of volume during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Deputy Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Markazi Province Jafar Asghari said, Trend reports citing the organization’s portal.
The deputy chairman said that 177,000 tons of goods worth $221 million were exported from the Markazi Province in two months.
“The goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan and the UAE,” he added.
Asghari noted that Iran plans to export $1 billion worth of goods from the Markazi Province in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
In addition, 81,000 tons of goods worth $22 million were imported to the Markazi Province over the two months, according to the deputy.
