Netherlands' investors to support greenhouses creation in Kazakhstan

The construction of a greenhouse complex was launched in West Kazakhstan region via support of investors from the Netherlands, Trend reports citing the regional akimat (administrative center).

The complex is being constructed on territory of Broeikas Uralsk special economic zone and will take up 55 ha of land.

The decision for the construction was made a couple of years ago. The country’s government allocated 2.4 billion tenge ($5.6 million) for the construction this year.

The construction is planned in several stages and is expected to create 500 jobs, First 5 ha of the complex are planned to be commissioned in December 2022. The complex is expected to take up 55 ha of land with a possibility for expansion.

The capacity of the complex will be 40,000 tons of vegetables a year. The first stage of the project implementation will use up 7.3 billion tenge ($17.05 million) of the total investments.
