Entrepreneurs from the UK purchased ECO-93 gasoline, produced at Turkmenistan's Turkmengas State Concern, on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan during the last week, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.
Also, entrepreneurs from Russia, Turkey and Azerbaijan bought terry products and cotton yarn in foreign currency.
The total amount of the above-mentioned transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $2.2 million.
Last week, deals were also made on the exchange in Turkmen manat. Thus, entrepreneurs from the UAE and Turkey purchased cotton yarn in the amount of 82,000 manat ($23.4 million).
Also, Turkmen businessmen purchased petroleum coke produced at Turkmenistan's Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries as well as high-density polyethylene and polypropylene manufactured by Turkmengaz State Concern and cotton fiber, hand-made carpets for a total of about 590 million manat ($168.4 million).
In total, 176 transactions were registered on State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan during last week.
A week earlier, 9 transactions were registered on Turkmen exchange.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
