Kazakhstan decreases exports of petroleum oils to France amid COVID-19

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15

Kazakhstan has exported 536,515 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 204.5 million euros to France in March 2021, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 1.6 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 591.3 million euros to France over the period from Jan. through Mar. 2021.

Thus, the March volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to France is 5.4 percent less than in volume compared to January 2021 (596,211 tons) and is 7.2 percent more than in February 2021 (525,654 tons).

March export value is also 4.8 percent more than in January 2021 (195.1 million euros) and is 6.7 percent more than in February 2021 (191.6 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France amounted to $719.8 million from January through March 2021, compared to $853.5 million during the same period of 2020.

Kazakhstan’s exports to France amounted to $554.3 million from January through March 2021, compared to $653.1 million during the same period of 2020.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from France amounted to nearly $165.4 million over the reporting period, compared to $200.3 million during the same period of 2020.
