Iran and Kazakhstan trade increases

TEHRAN, Iran, June 23

Iran and Kazakhstan trade during the first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21,2021) was $27 million, which was a 61-percent increase, compared to same period of the last Iranian year (started March 20,2020), head of Iran-Kazakhstan Joint Chamber of Commerce Amir Abedi told Trend.

"Iran and Kazakhstan trade during the first two months last Iranian year was about $17 million that increased to $27 million in the new Iranian year (started March 21,2021)" Abedi said.

He said the trade between the two countries had a 30-percent increase in terms of volume, from 61,000 tons in the first two months of last Iranian year to 99,000 tons in first two months of the current Iranian year.

"Kazakhstan share in Iran's total export was 0.04 percent and Kazakhstan is ranked 19th in export destination for Iranian commodities after India and China," he said.

"Iraq is the top destination for Iran's trade, although Kazakhstan is in a better position, compared to Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain," he said.
