The exports from the Bazargan border checkpoint in the West Azerbaijan Province (north-western Iran) amounted to 45,300 tons of product worth about $180 million during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), the Director General of Bazargan Customs Office Mojtaba Bazgir told IRNA, Trend reports.
The director general noted that the exported goods were petrochemicals, plant and agricultural products, ceramics, various stones, iron, steel and textiles.
“In addition, other Iranian customs exported 406,000 tons of goods worth $567 million through the Bazargan border checkpoint within the mentioned period,” Bazgir added.
As reported, the Bazargan border checkpoint is located on the border with Turkey (Gurbulak). There are 5 border checkpoints in Iran's West Azerbaijan Province. Three of them are on the border with Turkey, one with Azerbaijan and one with Iraq.
