Turkmenistan sells its products to various countries on local exchange

Entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAE, Germany, the UK, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Uzbekistan and other countries purchased aviation kerosene, gasoline, liquefied gas, total and calcined petroleum coke, hydrotreated diesel fuel, low-sulfur heating oil during the trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

The above-mentioned products were manufactured at Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries.

The liquefied gas, produced by both Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas State Concern, ECO-93 gasoline, an unserified diesel fraction-manufactured by Turkmenistan’s Turkmenhimiya State Concern also became the subject of transactions in foreign currency.

Entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAE, the UK, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan purchased cotton yarn, denim and harsh fabric, carpet products, float sheet glass, portland cement on the exchange also in foreign currency.

The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $109.7 million.

Transactions were also made on the exchange in the national currency. Thus, entrepreneurs from the UAE, Hong Kong and Afghanistan purchased cotton and carpet products worth 3.6 million Turkmen manat (over $1 million).

Also, for the Turkmen manat, domestic entrepreneurs purchased cotton fiber for the domestic market, in the amount of more than 1.2 million manat ($346,064).

In general, 115 transactions were registered on the exchange during the specified period.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
