The production volume of iron ores in Kazakhstan has amounted to 37.5 million tons from January through July 2021, which 5.2 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
According to the data, iron ores production amounted to 5.4 million tons in July 2021, which is 9.4 percent more than in July 2020.
Production of copper ores increased by 23.2 percent during the reporting months, having amounted to 71.6 million tons (8.8 million tons in July 2021, an increase by 20.6 percent compared to the same month in 2020).
Production of zinc and copper ores amounted to 3.6 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 13.5 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The production volume of zinc and copper ores was 494,200 tons in July 2021, which is 14.4 percent less in July 2020.
Production of gold ores amounted to 18.4 million tons over the reporting period, which is 30.7 percent more than during the same period of 2020. The volume of gold ores produced in July 2021 was 2.9 million tons, which is 48.9 percent more than in July 2020.
Production of lead and zinc ores amounted to 5.06 million tons, which is 49.1 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (686,300 tons in July 2021, up by 92.7 percent compared to July 2020).
As reported, the production of manganese ores amounted to 667,200 tons, which is 73.2 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (94,600 tons in July 2021, an increase of 48.5 percent compared to July 2020).
Production of chrome ores amounted to 3.3 million tons, which is 12.1 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (467,000 tons in July 2021, a decrease of 7.5 percent compared to July 2020).
