TEHRAN, Iran, Aug. 31
Trend:
Governor of Iran's Central Bank Akbar Komijani said he expects the downward trend of the foreign exchange rate in the coming days, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Last year, measures were taken to provide the resources needed for the COVID-19 vaccine," he said, adding that now the country has no problems with providing the vaccine.
Referring to the foreign currency market situation, Komijani said in recent days the market was calm, and the rates slightly decreased.
“We expect this trend to continue," he said.
Referring to foreign exchange and banking policies, Komijani said the banking system plays a pivotal role in financing the economy.
