Exports of Iran through customs of Bushehr Province up

Iran’s exports through the customs of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 93 percent in terms of value and 15 percent in terms of volume during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Customs Inspector of Bushehr Province Behrouz Gharabeigi said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

Gharabeigi noted that more than 11 million tons of goods worth $3.8 billion were exported through the customs of Bushehr Province in the 5 months.

"So, 76,000 tons of gas condensate worth $39.5 million were exported through the province's customs within the mentioned period. The gas condensate exports increased by more than 10 times both in terms of value and volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year," he added.

The official noted that 9.4 million tons of various petrochemical products worth $3.6 billion were exported in the five months.

"Furthermore, 210,000 tons of goods worth $430 million were imported through the customs of the Bushehr Province over the 5 months. The imported goods decreased by 5 percent in terms of value and 22 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year," Gharabeigi said.
