By Fakhri Vakilov – Trend:
Renault Group considers Uzbekistan as a potential key long-term partner in Central Asia, and the company attaches great importance to the project of cooperation with the country, Renault Group representative told Trend.
Recently Trend reported that Uzbekistan’s Roodell Motor Vehicle company will start selling Renault vehicles in the country.
“The brand Renault is about to enter the market. Our research has shown the interest of local consumers in our products. It is too early to talk about plans, they will depend on the development of the market,” Renault Group representative stated.
The Renault Group representative announced his intention to start delivering cars to Uzbekistan back in May 2019.
“Central Asia is a huge region with a growing economy and Renault considers that it has great potential. Renault is currently working on launching an assembly project there. All details will be given later,” Renault Group representative noted.
The company began entering the country's market by supplying Lada cars (part of the Renault Group). The local partner is Roodell, which already sells Lada and Kia cars.
At the end of 2020, it was planning to start assembling Lada and Renault cars in the country.
