Geostat reveals data on Georgia's imports from China

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 21

Georgia imported 25,339 tons of flat-rolled products of non-alloy clad or coated steel from China for the amount of $24.4 million from January through August 2021, Trend reports referring to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In the reporting period, Georgia imported 4,722 tons of moving, grading, extracting, or boring machinery from China worth $41.6 million.

Meanwhile, 6,530 tons of new pneumatic rubber tires worth $16.8 million were imported by Georgia from China.

Also, 7.2 tons of vaccines, blood, and immune products worth $24.2 million were imported by Georgia from China.

Some 134.1 tons of automatic data processing machines and units thereof worth $12.8 million were imported by Georgia from China.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $519.4 million to the Chinese market, which is 8.6 percent of total exports from Georgia.

Meanwhile, China's exports to Georgia amounted to $421.8 million, which comprises 16.2 percent of total imports to Georgia.
