Kazakhstan unveils data on 1H2021 physical GDP volume

The physical volume of Kazakhstan’s GDP amounted to 32.2 trillion tenge ($75.9 billion based on current exchange rate) over 1H2021, which is 2.4 percent more than during 1Q2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Some 53 percent of the total GDP value account for paid services, 39.9 percent account for goods manufacturing, and 7.1 percent account for net tax.

The volume of goods manufacturing amounted to 12.8 trillion tenge ($30.2 billion) over 1H2021, which is 2.9 percent more than in 1H2020.

Of this amount, 10.2 trillion tenge ($24 billion) accounts for goods produced in industry, which is 1.3 percent more than in 1H2020; 1.7 trillion tenge ($4.08 billion) - for the construction sphere, which is 11.9 percent more; and 922.6 billion tenge ($2.1 million) - for agriculture, fishery and forestry, which is 3.1 percent more than in 1H2020.

In turn, 17.1 trillion tenge ($40.2 billion) of Kazakhstan’s GDP accounted for services, which is 1.9 percent more than in 1H2020.

Net tax stood at 2.2 trillion tenge ($5.3 billion) of GDP, which is 4.4 percent more than during the same period of last year.
