A delegation from Kenya to launch a tea processing factory in the city of Lahijan in northern Iran said the manager of Iran Tea Syndicate.
Iran Tea Organization has announced the arrival of a Kenyan delegation that imported 84 tons of tea from the city of Lahijan, the capital of tea in Iran, Sadegh Hassani noted.
A tea processing plant in Lahijan was recently purchased by the Kenyans. The factory has already received permits for packaging green and black tea.
Iran National Standards Organization (INSO) is reviewing the company's request to issue a permit for packaging mixed Iranian and foreign tea.
