Uzbekistan textile and garment industry association and the Russian Sistema joint-stock financial corporation may establish joint textile enterprises, Trend reports citing the press service of the Uzbek textile association.
This matter was discussed at the meeting by the first deputy chairman of Uzbek textile association Davron Vakhabov and the managing director of Sistema corporation Leonid Petukhov.
Taking into account that Sistema is switching to a system of quick tailoring, willingness to place direct orders in Uzbekistan was expressed. In this regard, the Russian side's interest is in creating new production capacities, the press service of textile association said.
A group of Russian experts will arrive in Uzbekistan in early November to discuss the possibility of implementing joint projects for the production and dyeing of fabrics and finished textile products.
