TEHRAN, Iran, Oct.25

Trend:

Iran is planning to accelerate exports to neighboring countries by using private sector, said a board member of Iran – Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce Hamid Hosseini, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The country's exports have grown in recent years, thanks to the government in recent years encouraging the private sector to participate in trade, Hosseini said.

The private sector is expected to expand the country's trade network, develop infrastructure and create jobs, said Hosseini.

Iran Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade has recently predicted that the country's trade growth will reach $70 billion in the next four years, as well as $35 billion non-oil exports.

Iran's foreign trade during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21,2021) reached $79.1 million, which included exporting 60 million tons of goods (valued $21.8 billion) and importing 19.1 million tons (valued $23.1 billion).
