Auction opens in Turkmenistan to privatize state facilities

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 5

An auction for the sale of 20 state facilities will be held in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

Thus, the auction is scheduled for 10:00 (GMT + 5) on November 26, in the building of the Turkmen Ministry of Finance and Economy.

The list of facilities put up for auction includes the facilities of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Turkmenbashi Joint-Stock Commercial Bank, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, Turkmengas State Concern, the Turkmen Committee for Water Resources, Turkmenawtoulaglary agency, Turkmenhaly State Association, state administrations of Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary provinces.

Citizens of Turkmenistan, citizens of foreign countries, as well as non-state legal entities of Turkmenistan and legal entities of foreign countries who have submitted bids in the prescribed form, have paid a deposit and a special fee, as well as registered for participation in the auction in the set period may take part in the auction.

Foreign legal entities, international organizations established in accordance with the legislation of foreign countries, their permanent representative offices and branches in Turkmenistan can participate in the denationalization of state property and the privatization of state property only if there is a conclusion of the Agency for Protection from Economic Risks under the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

The bids are accepted and participants are registered by the Ministry of Finance and Economy from the date of publication of this announcement and ends 24 hours before the beginning of the auction.

The registration of participants will begin on the day of the auction at 9.00 (GMT + 5).
