Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange down

A total of 1.87 million tons of goods worth more than 125 trillion rials (about $2.97 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (November 27 through December 2, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is a decrease of 34.3 percent in value, and 10.3 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian week (November 20 through November 25, 2021).

So, 2.08 million tons of goods worth more than 190 trillion rials (about $4.53 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.

According to the report, about 1.52 million tons of goods worth about 67.9 trillion rials (about $1.62 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.

The main products sold in this section were cement, steel, iron ore, sponge iron, zinc, cast iron, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, precious metal concentrate, gold bars and etc.

In addition, about 332,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 54.7 trillion rials (about $1.3 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.

The main products sold in this section were bitumen, polymer substances, vacuum bottom, lube cut, chemicals, base oil, sulfur, and etc.

Furthermore, 11,300 tons of various products worth 2.34 trillion rials (about $55.8 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
