Iran's Trade Promotion Organization is seeking to negotiate with Russia to have it lift the imposed restriction on bell pepper imports from Iran, said the head of the organization Alireza Peyman-Pak, Trend reports via Fars News Agency.
Russia has restricted the import of bell pepper from Iran due to quarantine and health-related issues, Peyman-Pak said.
"The Trade Promotion Organization is seeking to solve the issue," he indicated.
Iran's Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, and Health have negotiated with Russia's Ministry of Agriculture to solve the possible upcoming restrictions for other agricultural products as well.
In particular, Iran's Foreign Ministry is set to have talks with Russia about signing an agreemtn on agricultural products next week.
