Turkmenistan discloses amount of products sold via local commodity exchange

Some 68 transactions worth $90.3 million were registered at the Turkmen State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange last week, Trend reports via the exchange.

Entrepreneurs from Great Britain, the UAE, Switzerland, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan purchased heating oil and road oil bitumen produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, as well as straight-run gasoline produced at the Seydi oil refinery, and motor gasoline ECO-93 produced by Turkmenkhimiya.

Businessmen from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, in turn, bought painted terry cloth and float glass.

Moreover, entrepreneurs from the UK, Switzerland, UAE, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan purchased handmade carpets for a total of over 152,000 manats ($43,509).

The amount of foreign exchange transactions at the Turkmen exchange exceeded $11.6 million a week before.
