Kazakhstan increases total production, import volume of cereals

Kazakhstan increased total production and import volume of cereals from January through October 2021, Trend reports referring to Committee on Statistics of Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the committee, this indicator amounted to 257,700 tons, up by 13.4 percent on annual basis.

In the first 10 months of last year, the country produced 247,500 tons and imported 10,100 tons of cereals, which is growth of 17 percent and decrease of 34.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020, respectively.

Production volume of cereals in October 2021 in Kazakhstan made up 21,700 tons (a decline of 14.5 percent year on year), while the import volume was 1,050 tons (a decrease of 47.5 percent on annual basis).

From January through October last year, 99,900 tons of various cereals were exported (a growth by 3.1 percent compared to 10M2020).

Kazakh export of cereals in October 2021 amounted to 12,100 tons, which is 0.2 percent less than in October 2020.

The sales volume of cereals in the domestic market amounted to 157,800 tons, which is 21.1 percent more than in 10 months of 2020. The sales in October reached 10,600 tons, which is 30.2 percent less than in the same month of 2020.
