The Industry, Mining, and Trade Organization of Iran's Ardabil Province eyes to provide the required equipment at customs stations to facilitate carpet export via Ardabil, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The head of the Industry, Mining, and Trade Organization of Ardabil province Ramin Sadeghi announced the annual production of 90,000 square meters of handmade carpets in the province.
The total number of Ardabil Province carpet weavers covered by insurance are 7,300 individuals.
Sadeghi addressed the insurance coverage, lack of housing, and sufficient income as among the problems of carpet weavers in Ardabil province.
According to IRNA, currently, 44,000 individuals in Ardabil province are active in the carpet industry.
