Gian Marco Rizzo new ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Tehran met with the Head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran to review the cooperation capacities of the two countries, Trend reports citing ILNA.

The Head of TPO Alireza Peyman-Pak emphasized the need to implement agreements between the two countries on the development of cooperation in food, medicine, health, environment, and pesticides and fertilizers sectors.

The new Belgian ambassador to Iran emphasized the sustainable relationship which should be based on the pursuit of mutual interests in building cooperation between the two countries.

Referring to the topics of mutual interest, the ambassador mentioned the fields of port, technology, chemical, medical, machine-made carpets, medical equipment, food supplements, industrial machinery, agriculture, and confectionery industries.

Iran, Belgium trade in recent years has been mostly focused on the fields of food, textile, carpet, medicine and medical equipment, and logistics.
