Turkmen Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange reveals trades for Jan. 17 through 22

The total amount of transactions at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to $54 million last week, Trend reported citing Business Turkmenistan.

Last week 26 transactions were registered at the State Commodity.

Entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAE, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and other countries purchased colorless glass products, jet fuel, kerosene for lamps, polypropylene, fuel oil, petroleum coke and bitumen produced at the Turkmenbashi complex oil refineries.

Businessmen from Turkey and Serbia purchased anti-erosion agents for various metals and oil filters. Moreover, dry extract of licorice root was sold during the reporting period.

Also, the businessmen from the UK purchased a wide range of pharmaceutical products worth more than £87,000 ($117,764).

Local entrepreneurs, in turn, purchased cotton yarn for the domestic market in the amount of $254,430, as well as handmade carpets and cotton fiber in the amount of more than 1,613,000 Turkmen manats ($461,714).
