Iran eyes to commission new agricultural facilities

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 1

A total of 1,696 agricultural facilities will be put into operation in Iran on the anniversary of the Iranian Revolution (occurred in 1979, being marked Feb. 1 through Feb. 11, 2022), said Reza Rezazadeh, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, Trend reports citing the ministry.

The official emphasized that in total, 64.9 trillion rials (about $1.54 billion) has been spent on these facilities.

Rezazadeh also added that with the launch of these facilities, about 20,000 people will be provided with jobs.

“The facilities will operate in cultivation, horticulture, cattle-breeding, poultry and other agricultural areas,” he said.
