The GDP growth in Turkmenistan amounted to 6.2 percent in January 2022, said Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Deputy Prime Minister, Trend reports citing Orient news.
He made the remark during a meeting of Turkmenistan's Cabinet of Ministers.
In the first month of this year, Turkmenistan manufactured 7.7 percent more products than in January last year.
During the reporting period, Turkmenistan saw positive developments in the trade sector, industrial complex, and service sector, with growth rates of 8.8 percent, 7.4 percent, and 6.1 percent, respectively.
This January the country experienced a 4-percent gain in the transport and communications sector, while the agro-industrial complex experienced a 3.2 percent increase compared to January 2021.
