Turkmen enterprise mastering new generation fabric production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 10

By Amina Nazarli - Trend:

The Garagum enterprise is mastering the production of spunbond, a new generation of environmentally non-woven fabric, Trend reports citing Turkmenistan Golden Age newspaper.

A plant with a capacity of about 2,500 tons of this material per year was built in Ashgabat’s Bagtyyarlyk district, making it the country's second to master the production of spunbond non-woven fabric.

Equipment for a nonwoven fabric factory is purchased in China.

Currently, the company is carrying out starting-up and adjustment works.

Fiber-forming polymers produced in the country, such as polypropylene, will be used as raw materials in the production of non-woven fabric.

These fibers in non-woven materials are interconnected in a unique way that does not involve the use of a weaving method. This fabric is produced using cutting-edge technology.

This method produces a canvas with a new structure that is ideal for replacing textiles. It has the advantages of being strong, environmentally friendly, breathable and waterproof, flexible, and inexpensive.

Turkmen Senet was the first company in Turkmenistan to master the production of spunbond, producing approximately 2,500 tons of this unique material per year.
